I ran into a problem with my DVD-RAM unit. Low writing speed.
Why? Because DMA wasn’t active.
Why it wasn’t active? Because of the “best” mounting software – DAEMON TOOLS.
Just uninstall it, and your DMA will most probably be active once again, and you will write DVDs at 8x, and not 2x!!!
how do i uninstall Daemon? where do i find it?

Daemon Tools is a tool to mount CD/DVD images. If you do not know it, then probably you do not have it.
If your CD/DVD writer is still slow, then probably you need to turn on your DMA. Just google for it in order to find how to do this.
