*Guification = Graphical Notification
Pidgin can have customized popups to notify you when buddies come online, go offline, etc.
I have been using the Pidgin 2.0.0 theme for some time, but I wanted to see the protocol icon as well. The result can be downloaded here. You have to copy the contents of the archive to Documents & Settings\{user}\Application Data\.purple\guifications\themes or Program Files\Pidgin\pixmaps\guifications\themes
